Production and Application of Combine Harvester Blades

With the development of science and technology, more and more machines are put into agricultural production in agricultural production. Using machines instead of labor can achieve more efficient and convenient results, which is beneficial to people’s lives, such as corn harvesters, carrot harvesters, rice combine harvesters, etc. that we are familiar with.

The development of modern agriculture has made the use of combine harvesters more and more common, especially for rice, which not only has high productivity, but also has low impurity content in the harvested grains and small grain losses. More and more areas in many countries use rice harvesters for harvesting. In my country, the area of rice harvested by rice harvesters has already exceeded 80% of the total rice planting area.

According to the import and export data of harvester accessories, harvester blades are purchased in large quantities every year. After all, in the working process of rice combine harvesters, blades are one of the most easily worn parts.

Combine Harvester Blades

Production of combine harvester blades

Harvester blades, regardless of their toughness, the harder the material, the better the wear resistance, however, the harder

The higher the hardness, the lower the toughness, that is, the harder the hardness, the more brittle the material. Therefore, in the selection of materials, we need to comprehensively consider its hardness and toughness. Generally, for TiALN-coated graphite blades, you can choose one with a slightly higher cobalt content, and the toughness is relatively better. For diamond-coated graphite blades, you can choose a slightly lower cobalt content, and the hardness is relatively better.

Production of combine harvester blades

Combine harvester composite blades are generally composed of three layers of metal, the inner and outer layers are low-alloy high-strength structural steel, and the middle layer is martensitic stainless steel. At present, the production process of the blade generally adopts a quenching process. To ensure the strength of the blade, after quenching, it can also ensure that its quality is stable, it is not easy to deform, and the hardness and toughness of the blade can be better balanced, so that the blade has the function of strong toughness and high wear resistance, to a certain extent It can also increase its service life.

In addition, the quenching process will also cause a large degree of distortion to the blade to a certain extent, and this distortion is irregular. For this, pre-tempering can be carried out to observe whether it will warp or crack, and calibrate the tempering To a certain extent, it can prevent cracks from being caused by excessive calibration force.

Combine harvester blade use and maintenance

When the harvester is working in the field, it is inevitable to encounter tree roots or hard stones during the operation of the harvester blade. These hard objects will damage, deform or crack the blade, and will also loosen or deform the edge guard. If the rivet is loose , The blade will be damaged or even fall off, which will affect the working efficiency. Therefore, during the use of the harvester, we need to use the correct operation method strictly in accordance with the instructions, and strengthen the inspection and maintenance of vulnerable parts in daily use.

During the operation of the harvester, if we feel that the blade of the harvester is cut Foreign objects, or cracks, should be checked and replaced in time. In the daily maintenance of the harvester, if the blade is seriously worn, tooth lines are deformed or falls off, etc., it should also be replaced in time.

Replacement method:

  1. Turn the pulley so that the rivets on the movable blade are aligned between the fixed blades.
  2. Place an iron pad under the moving knife rod for easy operation.
  3. Use tools to remove the rivets and remove the damaged blade.
  4. Replace with a new blade and fix the rivets again.
